Builth Wells

Builth Wells, with its fine 18th century bridge crossing the river Wye, was a fashionable spa during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. The town retains an appealing character with narrow streets offering an interesting and varied selection of goods.

The Groe alongside the Wye, Builth Wells

The Groe, alongside the river, is a beautiful spot to relax or picnic and has a bowling green, tennis courts, putting course and swimming pool. Lon Las Cymru, route 8 of the National Cycle Network, runs through here, as does the 112 mile Wye Valley Walk.

The Royal Welsh Show is Europe's 2nd largest exhibition of livestock, running for 4 days in July. A perfect day out for the family, there are entertaining displays, craft exhibitions and stalls offering Welsh farmhouse produce.
