Kinghton Station on the Heart of Wales Line

At Knighton Station, the little train arrives at this pleasant market town set on the 8th century Offa's Dyke where ramblers can take the famous 177 mile Offa's Dyke path or the new Glyndwr's Way.

Knighton

Knighton retains its traditional character, with a variety of steep narrow streets full of interesting shops and a market held every Thursday around the central clock tower. Clear mountain air makes it a good site for the Spaceguard Centre, formerly the Powys Observatory.

Horse and Jockey, Knighton

The Horse & Jockey is located on Station Road, along the route from the station to the town centre. More information about tourism in Powys is available from the Powys Tourism Web site.
