Here, they sought the magical properties of the saline, sulphurous and barium chloride waters. The pump room is situated in the grounds of the Lake Country House Hotel. The National Cycle Network route 43 runs through the village, leading south to Llanwrtyd Wells or north to Builth Wells. Llangammarch Farm Park 1.5 miles outside the village provides the opportunity to see lambs, Welsh mountain ponies, ornamental pheasants, rabbits and more.
