Llangynllo Station is located next to a pair of houses on the rural road between the B4356 and Llancoch. The road is also part of route 25 of the National Cycle Network.

The small village of Llangynllo lies south of the station, just less than 2 miles away. Within the village is a community shop that also has a bar.
