Pen-y-bont Station is situated on the A44, within walking distance of either Pen-y-bont or Crossgates.

Within Pen-y-bont, accommodation, food or drink is available at the Severn Arms Hotel. There is also an interesting Victorian shop with B&B near the station. The owners are happy to meet people or give directions.

Within Crossgates, the Builders Arms is a pub that also offers B&B. A further choice of hotels, B&B or campsites cam be found along the A44 to Rhayader, such as the Greenway Manor (shown left). More information about tourism in Powys is available from the Powys Tourism Web site.
