Shrewsbury Station is the northernmost point of the Heart of Wales Line and provides connections with Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester or Aberystwyth. Book early when visiting the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show, which attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Riverside walks follow the river Severn as it loops around this medieval town of narrow streets and Tudor buildings. As well as specialist shops and fine local foods, Shrewsbury also boasts two shopping malls in the town centre.
