Win a family day out to the Royal Welsh Show

WIN a trip for two adults and 4 children to the Royal Welsh Show between 20 and 23 July 2026.


To ENTER all you have to do is tag someone you would like to take to the Royal Welsh Show on our Facebook and Instagram post. 


The competition winner will win 2 Adult and 4 Child (aged 5-16) entry tickets to the Royal Welsh Show and 2 Adult return train tickets (up to two children under 16 travel free with every fare-paying adult) to Builth Road from any station along the Heart of Wales Line from Swansea to Shrewsbury. 


Entries close 23:59 Friday 10th July 2026.


The competition winner will be drawn on Monday 13 July and announced on social media. 


The competition winner will need to e-mail heartwalesline@gmail.com by Wednesday 15 July to accept their prize. The competition winner will need to include details of the day they wish to travel and visit the show, the station they will be travelling from and the address they would like their tickets sent to.


Entrants can comment with a tag of someone they would like to bring to the Royal Welsh Show as many times as they like but will only be entered once to the competition.


Terms and conditions


  • Prize is not transferable and there is no cash alternative.
  • Train tickets are valid for Transport for Wales train services only.
  • Entrants must be aged 18 years or over.
  • The winners will be chosen at random from all correct entries received.
  • This competition is being run in partnership with Transport for Wales and the Heart of Wales Line Community Rail Partnership.
  • The date of travel must be the same as entry to the Royal Welsh Show.
  • You can chose either the 20th, 21st, 22nd or 23rd to travel and enter the Royal Welsh Show as long as your travel and entry to the Royal Welsh Show are the same day. 
  • A free shuttle bus will be available at Builth Road to take you to and from the showground.
