Forming a Friends of Llandrindod station group

At Llandrindod, Transport for Wales would like to form a Friends of the station group consisting of local people with an interest in gardening. No previous experience is necessary as training will be given.

Most of the activity at the station would occur between Spring and Autumn and generally involves occasional watering and deadheading plants.

If a group of about 6 people were able to be formed, they’d be part of Transport for Wales' station adoption scheme, and join other volunteers along the Heart of Wales Line who help care for planters and green spaces at stations.

Transport for Wales provide all the materials such as compost, plants and volunteer tabard. They can also provide gloves and hand tools such as trowels.

Joining a group is a great way of meeting new people, learning a new skill and making a difference in the community.

All volunteers receive a safety briefing before joining and must be 16 years of age or over. Expressions of interest can be made to community@tfw.wales
